What Doesn't Kill Me
All Business

By Mike SOS

Long Island maulers What Doesn't Kill Me have perfectly titled their latest scorching six-track endeavor All Business, as the intent from the opening strains of the brutish "Every Dog Has its Day" of the quartet remains obvious - step aside or get steamrolled. Not the type to mince words, this group's blend of skull-crushing, off-kilter metal, muscular old school hardcore and punk rock disdain comes most alive on the dynamic "Slow Demise of Character," whose impressive rapid-fire bass and guitar lead breaks and savage vocal hooks make this one impossible to sit still. But fear not, sandwiched between Hollywood cult movie soundbites, the album yields a menacing bunch of tunes fueled by sheer aggression, raw power and overall harshness inherited from the underground's upper echelon.
